About Bexy

Hello. I'm Bexy.

I’m Rebekah Kefford, founder of Curly Media.

I’ve never really fitted neatly into one box. And I’ve come to realise that’s one of my greatest strengths.

Ideas. Conversations. Connections.

Not one box

A salesperson who loves creating.

A marketer who isn't afraid to pick up the phone.

A relationship builder who understands brands.

And a communicator who knows that sometimes the best way to solve a problem is simply to talk to people.

A little experience goes a long way

From commercial radio to Curly Media.

I’ve spent more than 35 years working in sales, marketing and communications – from 18 years in commercial radio to building Curly Media and working directly with businesses, schools, charities and organisations across a wonderfully varied mix of sectors.

Sometimes I’ve been brought in to develop a brand. Sometimes to find new customers. Sometimes to create a campaign, build relationships, promote an organisation or help a team become better at selling.

And quite often, it’s been all of the above.

18 years in commercial radio

Including time at Global, the UK and Europe's largest radio and outdoor media company, working with businesses to create campaigns, build their profile and generate results.

11 years of Curly Media

Marketing, social media, content, communications, campaigns, outreach and business development – sometimes for a single project, sometimes as a long-term extension of the team.

A wonderfully varied mix

From commercial radio to cookery schools, security companies and artisan coffee; from charities and hospitality to schools, education, early years and professional services.

The secret ingredient

A pretty good little black book.

35+ years in business has given me something else rather valuable along the way. I’ve built trusted relationships with designers, web designers, photographers, scriptwriters, media contacts and other talented people who I can bring into a project when we need them.

So when you work with Curly Media, you’re not simply buying my time.

You're getting my experience, my creativity, my relationships – and my little black book.

What I believe

People buy from people.

I’ve always believed that.

Long before social media, algorithms and content calendars, I was building relationships, understanding businesses and finding ways to connect them with their customers.

Technology has changed enormously. The fundamentals haven’t.

  • Talk to people.
  • Listen.
  • Understand.
  • Have a good idea.
  • Communicate it brilliantly.
  • And make something happen.

The most underrated tool in business

Sometimes, I just pick up the phone.

It sounds ridiculously simple. But in a world of emails, DMs, automated responses, algorithms and AI, we’ve somehow forgotten one of the most powerful ways to do business.

We talk to people.

I’ve spent my career doing exactly that. Picking up the phone. Starting conversations. Asking questions. Listening. Finding common ground. Understanding what someone actually needs. Because that’s how relationships begin. And relationships are where opportunities come from.

I love marketing. I love creating campaigns, developing brands, writing content and finding new ways to get a business noticed. But ultimately, I believe people do business with people.

Sometimes the smartest piece of marketing isn't another post. It's a conversation.

Different businesses. Different audiences.

Same principle.

Understand people

Who are we talking to? What matters to them?

Find the opportunity

The customer, the partnership, or the great story nobody knows about yet.

Communicate brilliantly

The right message, to the right people, in the right way.

Make things happen

Because a beautiful campaign that nobody responds to is just a beautiful campaign.
